I live in a country where by law and by policy, I can be denied opportunity for no-other reason than the color of my skin...

That is my America in 2009...

I live in a country where people call it "sophisticated" to choose their friends based on their ethnicity...


I live in a country where a woman is asked her opinion and then destroyed in public by men who would have you believe that they are victims of something... Because it wasn’t the answer they wanted to hear from her...

I live in a country where the difference between an insult and a thought crime is nothing more than the skin pigments of those involved...

That is my America in 2009...


I live in a country where the will of the people is secondary to the opinion of a judge....

I live in a country where entertainers who are paid to lie for a living are believed more than people who fought and suffered for the rights of others....

I live in a country where people who believe in no god try to forcibly convert those who do through humiliation and intimidation.... Yet hold themselves up as higher beings...

That is my America in 2009...



I live in a country that honestly believes that the Earth changing is something new and disastrous that will be the end of all we know...

I live in a country where 1 out of every 3 children believe that the Earth is going to die in their lifetime because some rich old man convinced their teachers that it was so...

I live in a country where people who earn their own way are given no choice but to give the government 5 months of every year of their lives or go to jail; yet those that never even try get nearly every day free as a bird to want more...

That is my America in 2009...



I live in a country where gay men embrace a leader that hugs tyrants that murder gay men as a matter of philosophy in his country....

That is my America in 2009...


I live in a country where the party of the KKK claims to be the party of unity... Where even today clansmen hold the highest seats...



I live in a country where people who want to clean the "human trash" from society's blood line are held up as visionaries by our leaders...
